Cricklewood and Derstan Storm Sewer Rehabilitation
Storm Sewer Design
Powers designed a storm sewer rehabilitation project within a residential neighborhood in Indianapolis. Responsibilities included planning, hydraulic modeling, design, utility coordination, construction document development, permitting, bidding, and construction administration services. Due to blockages exacerbated by deterioration in an existing storm sewer draining the neighborhood, persistent flooding was being experienced during heavy rains. Because the existing utility easement was limited and access restrictions would prove challenging for heavy construction equipment, a trenchless solution including a combination of CIPP lining and one point repair was designed. The solution allowed for less disruption to the public and for the work to be completed without requiring additional land acquisition.
